Daily Duties at Coca Cola Company:
• Leadership and direction for the Concentrate Plant (184 associates, 14.000 ton volume/year) as Environmental & Safety Manager. implementing a new cleaning in place process. • Translate the Plant business and financial plans into meaningful operational objectives and goals. • Ensures a continuous “audit ready” state of compliance with company EHS policies and procedures as well as all applicable external regulatory requirements. • Responsible to create and ensure implementation of necessary systems, processes and procedures, including management of change. • Ensure compliance with EHS laws and regulations and be the contact with external regulatory, advisory, certification and registration bodies. Oversee the management of claims, including challenges and appeals, ensure compliance to relevant legislation and processes. • Partners with business leadership to develop EHS key priorities, drivers and activities with key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive site EHS improvement. • Actively train employees on site-wide health and safety objectives including the internal Management of the Environment, Safety, Security, and Health guidelines. • Drive continuous improvement by implementing EHS risk management methods, procedures and programs to reduce accidents and injuries. • Lead and/or assist in the investigation of work-related injuries/illnesses to identify causes and recommend corrections. • Leads the effective implementation and utilization of risk assessment and risk prediction processes within the organization to ensure effectiveness for identifying and mitigating hazards and ensuring they are effectively communicated & understood by all affected employees. • Develops/maintains plant emergency response plans and ensures drills are performed to document plan effectiveness. • Reviews plant environmental permits and ensures terms and conditions are understood and complied with, ensures required documentation is maintained and required regulatory reports are submitted to the respective agency, e.g., air discharge permits, storm water discharge permits, local POTW permits and NPDES permits. • Actively maintain a positive commitment to the prevention of pollution and protection of the environment by following KORE, ISO 14K environmental procedures, work instructions and other operational controls. • Coordinate the recycling efforts for the facility. Manages all plant waste disposal activity to ensure compliance with applicable regulations • Act as the EHS management representative for all 3rd party certifications and manage the internal audit programs, assisting close audit findings, assesses appropriateness of CAPA. • Implement behavioral based safety process where employees are actively engaged in performing work in a safe manner and actively interacts with co-workers to prevent at-risk behaviors at NA CPS plants.
