Daily Duties at At&T Mobility:
Worked closely with business to understand the business needs for the ESK and IS Kiosks. Facilitated efforts to gather, analyze, and validate project requirements. Translated business needs and defined project purpose by creating Business Requirement Documents where the problem was precisely stated for the Business Team, Development team and UI Design department. Document management done in sharepoint. Coordinated the BRD review meeting with all the teams and requested approval. Collected ROM and LOE’s after BRD and SRD reviews from other IT teams (development and testing) Facilitated JAD session and work sessions where we brainstormed possible solutions, and ensured work activities remained on track Made recommendation for best possible solutions to development and SME’s to ensure that the solution was feasible and would not break the existing functionality/framework yet meet the business clients need. Provided thorough communication by coordinating and presenting possible solution to business client. This was to ensure that they were on-board with solution and felt that it met their needs. Created a Systems/Functional Requirement Document. SRD contained the solution i.e. Scope, Risks, references, As Is, Future process flows, use cases (UML). All documents I created (BRD, SRD/FRD) had a traceability matrix through PM, Development, Quality control/testing, and UI Design Department. Presented SRD document with final solutions, to Development, Business, UI design Department, Quality Control and requested SRD approval via email. After approval I handed information over to Development for coding. Performed UAT testing once coding was completed and code handed over to quality control. Created ‘How To’ documents in the case of new functionality that would serve as training material or reference guides for the support department. Provided project management to balance project resources by monitoring UI Design Department and Developments scope and timelines which I presented to my PM at weekly status meetings. Managed production issues as they were presented on a day to day basis and worked with business client to prioritize issues. Tracked project status by updating sharepoint with closed action items on a weekly basis for the executive team’s monthly statue meeting.
What they like about At&T Mobility:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
