Daily Duties at Office Technology Systems:
I engineer Clinical Notes and Flowsheets for use by professional and paraprofessional clinical providers, ancillary staff, and administrative personnel. I also develop training programs for new users, note configurist’s, and database managers. I manage 4 internal databases that consist of the following; Active Note’s / Standard Order Sets, Formulary, User, and Global Choice List. I also manage 3 external databases that consist of the following; Training, Customer Reports, and Component Inventory. I support the continued implementation of the CliniComp International (CCI) Clinical Information System (Essentris) through software/hardware upgrades and expansion. As the Senior Essentris SA I serve as a consultant for Nursing Services for issues related to Essentris. I perform an annual needs assessment of the Essentris issues by all levels of nursing personnel; and I collaborate and consult with other departments to resolve issues identified in the needs assessment.
