Daily Duties at Software Ag Government Solutions:
Managed the full cycle account payables and receivables for both Government and Private Sector billing. Maintain current status for records pertaining to payment documents, invoices, purchase orders, requisitions, accounts payable and receivable, and correspondences. Leveraging exceptional customer service and problem solving skills work directly with clients to resolve invoicing discrepancies. Collaborate team member, working closely with controller with all month, quarter and year-end activities. Successfully increased company cash flow by decreasing the DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) by half on all outstanding payments. Managed, trained, and developed a team of Accounts Payable specialist. Quality control audits of vendor invoices for proper coding of cost centers and ensuring expenses follow all reporting guidelines. Verified that all AP invoices comply with financial policies and procedures. Managed all Accounts Payable processes, including 1099 processing, credit cards. Made recommendations for improvement of AP processes and controls. Assisted Finance Team with month end processing, including accruals and account reconciliations. Create timely cash receipt entries for all customer payments; Perform monthly accounts payable accruals. Oversaw the functional administration of the Deltek disbursement system. Effectively and efficiently report monthly cash flow using TM5 as well as maintain outstanding check spreadsheet and prepaid amortization schedule. Prepared 1099 tax reports for contractors. Perform regular accounting period-end adjustments via Deltek accounting system, analyze reports ensuring system/data is balanced and system suspense fund is clear of transactions. Proactively maintain record of all 200+ maintenance contracts, tracking year-over-year revenue changes, renewals, and quarterly reporting of maintenance revenue to the Controller to present to parent company.
