Daily Duties at Cummins Inc:

 Oversaw worth 280 million-dollar joint venture supply chain business servicing 12 joint ventures in five countries.  Redeveloped business in 2011 from a material supply to a supply chain organization creating commercial, materials supply, quality, and packaging functions while recruiting suitable resource into the positions utilizing Six Sigma methods and controls.  Dealt with joint venture relationships regarding material supply, pricing, and quality.  Managed JVK commercial, materials, quality, and third-party logistics (3PL) functions in both US and United Kingdom.  Provided strategic direction to the group regarding the introduction of functional excellence strategies and objectives in the areas of account management, forecasting, branding, and new joint venture introduction.  Served as supply chain leader during the launching of three major JV’s to the Engine Business Unit to provide direction in material, supply, logistics, and pricing.  Utilized communication skills in drafting and negotiating supply agreements with new JV’s and entities serviced by JVK.  Assessed key metrics of the group to identify improvements or actions required to guarantee inefficiencies were addressed and issues resolved before they impacted the metrics.  Collaborated with the Cummins’ supply management leadership to understand and resolve supply issues that could impact supply of joint venture engine build material.  Took full charge of performing the following initiatives: — Evaluation of the initial build and financial forecast with the account managers to make modifications before the submission of final forecast with engine business purchasing and supply chain vice president; — Assistance to material managers and account managers with resolution of any operational items; and — Liaising and administration of the 3PL and warehousing organization
