Daily Duties at Godiva :
This was a short employment due to completing my educational obligation of a full time internship. Working at Godiva gave me the experience of the corporate, retail side of the pastry industry. I was entrusted with opening and closing operations including handling large amounts of money. I gained an understanding and was an active part of constructing displays, signage, promotional and selling strategies. That resulted in our location being one of the strongest store in sales for the region. While currently attaining my pasty degree I was tasked with all of the chocolate tempering and dipping of items for daily purchasing. This task was done in a showcase window that taught me about presentation and making food enticing to customers. With the responsibility of handling the ready to eat food, I was responsible of carrying out and enforcing HACCP procedure.
