Daily Duties at Vangent, A General Dynamics Company:
Assisted the Program Director by providing hands-on leadership across all key areas of the multi-million dollar, multi-channel contact center program, and its more than 100 staff members. Also provided strategic, financial, operations, engineering management and oversight of the CDC-INFO program. Responsibilities included: • Contributed to the successful delivery of the CDC-INFO multi-channel contact center and two additional lines of business: the FDA Office of Emergency Operations (OEO) contact center and the Vaccine Management Business Improvement Project (VMBIP) help desk. • Provided task order management through development and tracking of the integrated program schedule, oversight of contract deliverables, and completion of routine and ad hoc reports as required by the customer. • Conducted risk management activities, identifying and addressing program issues and risks, and developing mitigations and resolutions in conjunction with customer leadership. • Assisted with financial management activities including formulating, executing, and monitoring the program budget; developing basis of estimates (staffing, costs); and coordinating with Vangent's financial services organization for invoicing, cost and budget reports, and Earned Value Management. Assisted with producing routine periodic reports, including monthly status reports and quarterly program reviews. • Assisted with strategic management of operations including the use of staff, financial, and material resources to meet task order requirements and provide high-quality service to the public. • Assisted with strategic management of the supporting IT infrastructure, including the IT staff and their activities. • Collaborated and coordinated with CDC customers, stakeholders, the internal team, and contractors. • Assisted with management of project deliverables including their completion, quality review, and delivery. • Assisted the Program Director with strategic and annual planning. • Ensured that staff complied with program objectives, performance standards, and relevant business, information, security, and information technology standards. • Oversaw the development, updating, approval, and implementation (as appropriate) of policies and procedures. • Served as primary focal point for the Quality Assurance and Surveillance Program, including development and implementation of the Quality Plan. As a certified ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor, served as the focal point for coordinating with independent evaluators and maintaining the team's ISO 9001 certification.
