Daily Duties at News Channel 8:

Repair Broadcast equipment; maintain technical library , parts inventory systems; wiring diagrams; spare equipment storage; perform preventive maintenance on broadcast equipment; provide technical support on satellite and microwave trucks, fiber optics feeds, and live satellite shots; uplinking and downlinking of satellite and microwave feeds; maintenance and repair of satellite dishes; designing and wiring of satellite and microwave trucks; suggest ideas on improving the efficiency of Engineering and Operation Department; assist in building of sets used in broadcast; provide back up support for Master Control; plan an Emergency backup plan in case of power failure; Maintain and distribute cell phone, pagers, and Nextel; Worked with personnel at sport arenas and stadiums to get our product on air; Maintain generators for the trucks as well as the building; On call engineer
