Daily Duties at University Of California, San Diego Department Of Neurosciences:
• Bred and maintained a colony of PS1deltaE9/APPswe mice • Designed and implemented a schedule of Chronic Variable Stress for the mice • Regularly performed SDS-PAGE/Western Blotting to measure target engagement of compounds and tissue biomarkers of AD • Isolated and cultured primary hippocampal neurons from neonatal mice • Utilized brightfield, fluorescent and confocal microscopy to measure regional changes of AD biomarkers in section • Used Leica suite of image analysis software/Metamorph to develop workflow for high throughput screening of tissue for targets of interest • Analyzed data using the statistical and graphing functions of JMP and Excel • Interpreted results and contributed to the preparation of manuscripts, high quality graphs and posters
