Daily Duties at The Sexton Law Firm, Pllc:

• Solo practitioner accountable for directing all aspects of law firm business including: trust account budgeting, client relations, vendor management, risk management, investigations, and working with government entities. • Prepares clients and witnesses for trial and depositions; ascertains key objectives of case strategy and solicits information from witnesses and key experts that support client's position. • Conducts depositions, attends arraignments, drafts pleadings, negotiates pleas, reviews warrants and affidavits to determine probable cause, and argues motions for pretrial release/bond. • Collaborates and negotiates with other attorneys, non-legal staff, district attorney, police officers, and civilians to provide the most beneficial results for client’s position. • Reviews motions filed in cases, provides assessment and recommendation; reviews filings for jurisdictional and statutory requirements; conducts conferences with opposing counsel concerning custody, child support, and other domestic proceedings.
