Daily Duties at Nyu Lutheran :

• Organize and maintain medical files, procedure reports, medical histories, admission and discharge summaries through electronic health records system • Review and edit transcribed reports, which include but are not limited to X-Rays, CT Scans, Mammograms, Sonograms, and MRIs (more than 200 reports per day) for clarity, and proper medical terminology • Serve as a liaison between various department including Reception, X-Ray and Medical Imagining in order to ensure coordinated and integrated workflow • Generate reports and patients’ orders in various applications • Respond to inquiries for release of medical information, ensuring that legal requirements are followed and proper consent has been obtained • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve problems employing effective and efficient approach • Manage the employee training process while emphasizing department’s activities, policies, and responsibilities • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior management as well as associates in other departments in order to provide exceptional patient service • Coordinate and process office supply orders Prepare patients for radiology examinations and provide follow up information Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
