Daily Duties at Crumbie Law Group:

Litigation: Represented the Hartford Police Chief and Hartford Police Department in state, federal and administrative actions including first amendment, civil rights actions under 42 U.S.C. 1983, and Freedom of Information Act Appeals. Represented City Tax Collector in due process challenges. Represented individuals and corporations in wide range of cases including breach of contract, premise liability (primary premise liability work was defending fortune 500 client), Connecticut Unfair Trade Practice Act, and various tort actions. Conducted legal research on wide range of complex commercial, tort, constitutional and municipal legal issues and rendered advice to clients on such issues. Transactional/Corporate: Represented clients in residential and commercial real estate closings, drafted commercial and residential contracts and leases, power of attorneys, title policies and handled complex title and environmental issues. Procurement: Drafted procurement regulations for municipality modeled after the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Drafted memoranda interpreting various FAR provisions. Conducted legal research and advised municipality on complex procurement issues concerning statements of work, protests, sealed bidding, best value and other FAR related issues. Conducted legal research on complex state contracting issues including issues related to the state’s set aside programs and affirmative action.
