Daily Duties at Gregory And Adams:

Litigation: Represented corporate and individual clients in land use, environmental, real estate, commercial, construction, tort, employment, and foreclosure cases in both state and federal court. Extensive Motion practice experience including drafting and arguing Motions for Summary Judgment, Motions to Dismiss, and Motions to Strike. Defended and prosecuted depositions. Conducted evidentiary hearings and prepared cases for trial including drafting trial memoranda, preparing witnesses for examination, and second chair trial work. Conducted legal research on a wide range of complex legal issues relating to environmental, land use, constitutional, tort, real estate and business law and drafted memorandum and rendered advice to clients on such issues. Volunteer attorney at Connecticut Veterans Legal Clinic. Real Estate/Corporate: Represented clients in residential and commercial real estate closings, drafted commercial and residential contracts and leases, and handled complex title, zoning and environmental issues. Represented clients at land use application hearings including variance and special permit. Drafted documents associated with real estate transactions including title policies and contracts. Assisted with corporate transactions including helping to draft asset purchase agreements, preparing disclosure schedules, and drafting various corporate documents related to asset purchase deals. Drafted bylaws, operating agreements, articles of organizations and other corporate documents for corporate clients. Drafted commercial contracts for corporate clients. Monitored laws passed by state legislatures during each legislative session for fortune 500 client, analyzed laws, and advised client on how new laws affect its operations. Conducted legal research and advised clients on complex corporate issues, including researching issue for corporate client having multibillion dollar impact.
