Daily Duties at Omni Systems Inc.:
As Vice President, my responsibilities included but were not limited to Executive Leadership, Portfolio Management, Program Management, Project Management, Staff Management, Business Development as well as set the overall direction for many of the Information Technology decisions. OmniSystems corporate culture is a portfolio structured organization. Founders demand executive leadership to develop business and manage their portfolio of programs and projects. Daily each executive managed a team of technical and administrative staff. We also were responsible for hiring needed staff, salary negotiations, employee training, evaluations, raises and disciplinary actions. I developed Capture Management Plans and always maintained an active pipeline of potential new and existing opportunities. For each of my customers, I was expected to pursue opportunities, win opportunities, act as the lead negotiator, conduct Best and Final Offers (BAFO’s) and manage my projects from beginning to end. I was the lead for developing responses to Request for Proposals (RFP’s), Request for Quotations (RFQ’s) and Invitation for Bids (IFB’s). For my customers, I was the face of OmniSystems and all decisions I made were final and backed by the company. As an OmniSystems executive, I provided executive leadership for policy formulation, corporate direction, developing and maintaining corporate policies and procedures for the organization. We held weekly meetings where we discussed, debated and voted on issues relating to the health and growth of the organization. We discussed staff alignment, payroll, overall financial health of the company, corporate benefits, staff training, award, disciplinary actions, organizational priorities, status of pending projects, opportunity pipelines, policies and procedures, projects that needed large upfront funds, etc.
