Daily Duties at Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg Llp:
• Review purchase, sale and lease documents for client transactions. • Review complex legal and real estate documents such as contracts, appraisals, legal descriptions and plat maps. • Track regulatory and appeal deadlines. • Performing comparables search for properties of similar size, type and value • Draft petitions, motions, and client correspondence. • Draft and revised spreadsheets, real estate tax briefs for appellant and other legal documents. • Preparing and filing owner/lessee and certificates of error. • Preparing and filing real estate tax appeals. • Ensure that all real estate taxes are paid timely. • Maintain firm databases of clients. • Process real estate tax bills, assessed value notices, and other related documents related to the real estate tax department tax program. • Ensure that assessed value notices are entered into the databases. • Respond to client requests and inquiries. • File and organize electronic data into iManage. • Photocopy and scan. • Perform other duties as assigned by Attorneys and Paralegals and Managers within the department/practice group. • Perform various legal research duties and prepare reports.
