Daily Duties at Fresenius Medical Center:

Clinical Manger of an 18 bed in-center facility with a Home Therapy program. Average census was 110 chronic pts and 25 PD/Home Therapy pts. I have made major changes to a clinic that was in a poor state, when I started. They were cited with several deficiencies related to Infection Control and Standard precautions. I also managed a major renovation project that I orchestrated, in order to make it easier for the staff to adhere to Strict Infection Control Best Practices, Standard precautions, Contact Precautions and Hepatitis B precautions and Buffer Zones. I collected data and did cost analysis reports to facilitate getting new dialysis machines; TV’s and updated RO equipment to improve pt. care and satisfaction. I have removed staff that did not meet my expectations and brought in several new staff that are now functioning as an efficient, effective team and my patient satisfaction went from 60% to 90% per pt. surveys. I was inspected by KDP, without any deficiencies and CMS, in August 2015, without any deficiencies or citations. I have kept clinic expenditures within my budget, which I made in 2014 and 2015. I completed several Clinical Manager training classes and web-ex’s. I met with the head of Finance, who gave me 2 days of education on P + L, productivity, TAP and how to pull my reports and ensure accuracy with billing for pt. care. I have been asked to go to other FMC clinics to survey/audit them on Infection Control and give them suggestions on how to ready themselves for surveys. I have been offered other Clinical Manager jobs in FMC, including Area Manager, but declined.
