Cancer Recovery Center Work Values

Daily Duties at Cancer Recovery Center:

Charge RN checking chemotherapy orders for accuracy. Drawing blood work from Mediports, Smartports, PICCs and IVs to determine if the pt is able to receive chemotherapy. Mixing chemo and double checking calculations and doses. Doing a full assessment and vital signs on all pts including asking them if they took their steroids and other pre-medications as ordered. Ensuring they are not sick or have had any reactions from past chemo infusions. Administering chemo while watching for signs and symptoms of reactions, side effects or pt intolerance and reacting to them with appropriate protocols.
