Daily Duties at St. Mary’s Hospital:

Worked as a charge nurse, scrub nurse and a circulator in a very busy and proficient operation room with 5 OR suites and 3 treatment room suites. Also worked as a post-op nurse and in the treatment room nurse for small procedures when needed. We did all types of surgeries, general, ortho, uro, gyn, C-sections, eye, total joints, ent, back surgeries, feet surgeries and many more. I have lots experience with them all. I enjoyed circulating and scrubbing the most. I worked full time and was on call during the week and every 3rd weekend. I gave in-services to all the OR staff re sterile technique and aseptic technique. I was also the Clinical coordinator in charge of decreasing our infection rate and HAI.

What they like about St. Mary’s Hospital:

A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
