Daily Duties at United States Secret Service:
• Managed the USSS accounting operations to include transmitting the monthly SF-224, approving all journal entries, managing, revising, and implementing accounting operating procedures, and developing financial management policies. • Guided staff in researching and resolving issues that could impact the month-end close. Managed all aspects of the month-end close and all associated staff assignments to close AR, purchasing, spending chain, AP and the GL. • Created reports for the Secret Service and Budget Operations using Oracle Desktop Discover; provided training to staff to encourage development of their own ad-hoc reports. • From March 2008 to March 2010, managed the Oracle Financial Systems Help Desk and Training Team; supported and mentored staff in the analysis and resolution of Help Desk issues from the entire USSS user community and was responsible for the delivery of all system training and the related official training documentation for to the USSS financial system.
