Daily Duties at Lincare, Inc.:
Center Manager Interview, hire, train and supervise quality candidates. Make sales calls on existing and potential referral sources on a regular basis. Effectively communicate with doctors, administrators, directors of respiratory therapy departments and others responsible for referrals. Implement safety programs, including maintaining records, in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations that apply to DOT and FDA. Control inventory and purchasing of equipment and supplies. Responsible for growth of the patient base through excellence in customer service. Responsible for the profitability of the center and for implementing and directing cost controls. Perform equipment setups in patients' homes. Responsible for maintaining a fleet of leased vehicles including establishing a routine preventative maintenance program and follow up of major maintenance. Record keeping and inspections of vehicles is a critical part of the responsibility. Required to perform on-call duties on a rotational basis with other employees in the center. Includes responding to call outs at night and weekends to provide the service normally done by a service representative. Sales Representative Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources in the medical community. Responsible for obtaining a predetermined number of referrals per month. Identify and develop new referral sources. Prepare for and participate in trade shows, exhibits and advertising campaigns. Conduct in-services for referral sources educating them in the use and application of durable medical and respiratory equipment. Provide resolution to complaints from referral sources. Prepare and submit approved plans for sales territory management. Provide marketing information to management. Follow up on referral sources or patients to identify problems with product or services and report to management. Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts. Understand and provide information on Medicare and insurance procedures, pricing information, and product information to referral sources. Assist the centers in the assurance of clean paperwork before information is sent to reimbursement offices for billing and collection activities.
