Daily Duties at Quantum Advisors, Private Limited:

Identify and research companies in the emerging markets universe for inclusion into an emerging markets equity investment strategy; study corporate earnings releases, attend conference calls, develop forecasting methodologies, and create customized financial statement projections for companies under coverage; based on those methodologies and projections, develop detailed models of a company's income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement for the next five years, driving a value-based decision as to whether or not to buy the company for the portfolio; participate in weekly research meetings with entire research staff, analyzing and critiquing their work and recommending changes as needed; participate in weekly portfolio meetings with portfolio management team, discussing names to be added/deleted from the portfolio based on in-house research reports; opportunistically shift the portfolio to capitalize on stronger investment alternatives in other sectors/regions; oversee entire marketing strategy for emerging markets fund (2013-16) and India fund (2010-13), drafting and refining pitch books, fund fact sheets, monthly newsletters/investment commentaries, fund subscription documents and other client-related items for delivery to clients; liaise regularly with clients on phone and in person, apprising them of fund performance, firm evolution, key changes in target investment markets, and investment outlook; train analysts and other portfolio managers in effective communication practices so as to best convey our value proposition to clients; guide clients along the path from initial meeting to investment in the fund by keeping them constantly updated on our firm, team and process and providing them with customized reporting at their request;
