Daily Duties at Houston Rockets And Toyota Center:
HR Director for an employee base of 300 full time staff and 600 seasonal workers. HR consultant to team owner and senior leadership on all HR related matters including: staffing, employee relations, training, benefits, sales compensation and high volume of workers compensation for professional ball players. Designed and implemented cost containment strategies for benefits and compensation. Mitigated risk and liability across the organization by implementing and managing a consistent performance and progressive discipline program. (Started with a staff of 3 and ended up with myself and a benefits support member.)
