Daily Duties at Us Air Force:
-Coordinates all vital squadron (unit) staff functions; edits and processes unit performance reports; award and decoration processing for over 150 personnel; screens all incoming & outgoing correspondence for unit director (squadron commander) -Lead project manager for inspection compliance reports for over 150 aircrew members' certifications & qualifications -Pilots the technologically advanced $225 million C-17A cargo airlift aircraft -Commands aircrews in support of Air Mobility Command's global airlift responsibility -Coordinates flight planning, ground support and command directives for C-17A ops on worldwide strategic & tactical airlift missions -Trains students to meet the needs of operational units, ensuring that they meet the rigorous USAF combat flight standards -Provides graduate-level flight instruction to C-17A initial & upgrade pilots as a Formal Training Unit (FTU) Instructor Pilot -Transports up to 170,000 lb payloads of outsized cargo, vehicles, equipment & 102 personnel & paratroopers in support of Presidential, Department of Defense, aeromedical evacuation/humanitarian airlift taskings; maintains worldwide combat-ready status
