Daily Duties at Investment Management Enterprises, Inc.:
I was responsible for closing 30 contracts per month. The types of contracts that were closed were Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Labor Hour (LH), Time and Materials (TM), Simplified Acquisition, BPA's and IDIQ contract orders. Responsibilities included contacting the vendor to confirm contact and financial information. A Contract Certification and Contract Release form was e-mailed to the vendor. The deadline to receive these completed forms was two weeks from the date of the e-mail. The COR was also contacted with a COR Certification form. The deadline for receipt of this form was one week. Once the signed closeout forms are received, the closeout packet is put together for the Program Director's approval. Once approved the closeout packet is delivered to our COR for final approval. The order is then closed in PRISM, DCIS and UFMS. The signed closeout paperwork is uploaded in PRISM before closing out. When the closeout process is complete, the file is boxed and sent to the Federal Records Center. The files are separated by obligated amount. Contract files that were $150,000.00 or less were boxed by 3 years or less. Contract files that had an obligated amount of more than $150,000.00 were boxed by a date of 3 months/6 years.
What they like about Investment Management Enterprises, Inc.:
You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.
