Daily Duties at Gyrodata:

Worked with the engineering group to improve overall product performance, used a calibration stand to collect data and simulate logging situations, and organized data to develop reports for deeper technical analysis. ● Tested new systems to ensure they performed as expected, new calculation routines in software to check for consistent results, and prototype products in the field to be certain they met company and industry standards. ● Worked in the field (Argentina, Mexico, Trinidad, Canada, and Alaska) running gyro systems for six years, trained others how to operate gyro systems, ran prototype tools, and developed reports for engineering staffs. ● Operated and tested the first battery tool, continuous tool, steering tool, and prototype gyro­while­drilling tool. ● Tested prototype software in the field and worked with IT to analyze data and provided recommendations Introduced quality control / quality assurance procedures and developed a system of steps from testing tools before job, testing tools on site, collecting and analyzing data in real­time, testing tools after job completion, and conducting preventive maintenance of tools before they are used on the next job ● Worked with IT programmers and other software­development experts to test new releases for functionality, made changes to ensure reliability and ease of use, added real­time tolerances to ensure that data were good, and made continuous improvements to make certain that all data presented to clients were accurate and useful. Developed marketing and presentation materials for use by sales staff, customer relations, and management, and interacted with clients to describe services, capabilities, systems, procedures, and technical information. ● Provided material evidence of all processes used and steps taken to affirm that data were correct, and addressed customer questions and concerns to ensure that any and all issues were thoroughly and appropriately resolved. Selected by management to train and mentor field personnel with an overview of the oil industry and its history, language and terms, tools, operations, processes, software, and the technical calculations used in the business. ● Created manuals and other training materials for management and field personnel, kept management apprised of any engineering changes pertaining to projects, software, quality control, new tools, and technology, and addressed questions and resolved all issues for management and customers in a timely and effective manner.
