Daily Duties at Veolia, N.A.:
Led HR function for business unit. Planned, organized, implemented, and coordinated HR policies, programs, procedures, and processes. Managed staff of four in directing HR for 90 locations with 1,300 employees. Implemented proactive direct human resources, accessible, and responsive to all organization levels. Communicated clear expectations, provided ongoing coaching and feedback, and managed annual HR budget, goals, and objectives. Ensured procedure adherence to recruit and hire qualified employees at all levels. Developed and promoted environment of diversity, cost-effective sourcing strategies, pre-employment requirements, new-hire and on-boarding process, process improvements, and hiring manager and new- employee satisfaction. • Provided coaching, counseling, and advice throughout organization, identified problems and solutions, assessed and analyzed trends, and developed recommendations. • Led ongoing support and oversight of labor relations activity, including due diligence, contract negotiations, grievance and arbitration resolution, and union organizing efforts. • Administered policies and procedures to ensure consistency, fairness, and legal compliance. • Updated and recommended HR policies, processes, and procedures for operational efficiencies and effectiveness. • Developed strategy and succession planning while implementing performance management process. • Coordinated compensation programs and guidelines, ensuring implementation and communication of base and variable plans (commission, management incentive, discretionary), supporting organizational goals and objectives. • Ensured compliance with state and federal laws and reporting and response requirements by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements while performing audits on employee records. • Coordinated training programs and identified opportunities for employee development. • Provide oversight of Talent Acquisition/Management utilizing proactive approach. Use KPI’s to measure results. • HR Consultative Services directly related to Business Development thru and including onboarding of new customers (M&A). Experience with Start-Ups.
