Daily Duties at Coldwell Banker Commercial, Nrt:
I work mostly with business owners, or people who want to be. I sell their businesses or help them buy one. I also find them properties to buy and lease. I help them sell and lease out their properties. Most of my work involves working with financial data and tax returns. It is used to evaluate for purchase or establish a value to sell. My accounting skills are very helpful. I became a CCIM while working here. Only six percent of Commercial Realtors have the designation. It requires five different week long classes. Then a comprehensive exam at the end of the class. Once you have taken all five, then you start working on your sales portfolio. It requires a minimum of $10,000,000 is commercial sales, and you have to write a report on each sale and relate it to the things you’ve learned in the courses. Finally you take a Comprehensive review three day class, and a day long final exam. It was actually harder than the CPA exam. I left CBC because the benefits of the CBC name, no longer delivered enough referrals to justify their large percentage of my commission.
