Daily Duties at Versar, Inc.:
Managed profitability of a $2M operation, which provided engineering design and construction administration services to Government, state, and local clients. Directed and monitored the performance of a staff of 16 engineers, project managers, CAD operators and clerical staff. Provided guidance to project managers for the development of proposals and change orders, as well as, negotiation with clients and subcontractors. Managed over 30 active projects with $1.5M of backlog that had to be completed and closed out, and ensured that all contractual obligations were met to the satisfaction of the client, after a decision was made to close the office. This resulted in a $20K per month saving for the company when the work was subcontracted out as FFP contract.
