Daily Duties at 3 M:

• Directed project from inception through delivery and installation phase. • Delivered all projects on time and within budget. Brought numerous projects in under budget (up to 20% under expense goals). • Delivered $500M cost savings in improving process oven efficiency. • Technical Team Leader for scale-up and continuous improvement of tape products. Delivered significant improvements in performance, consistency and manufacturability. Reduced factory unit costs by 10%. • Spearheaded problem-solving team implementing process changes that extended the life of $300,000 in capital equipment from three years to 7+ years. • Supervised a team of engineers and several contractors responsible for master resource plans and integrated schedules for facilities construction, start-up, operations and maintenance. • Engineering support to QA/QC and Flawless Start-up Initiative • Acted as liaison between specific business units, including process engineering and design engineering, in developing equipment solutions for manufacturing and laboratory tasks. • Played key role in price negotiation and risk-buy management; participated in ‘make versus buy’ decisions through development and review of manufacturing feasibility studies. • Managed multiple activities of company to achieve Growth Target and cost-competitiveness through partnership with local business units. • Designed and implemented fabrication of custom manufacturing equipment necessary to accomplish program.
