Daily Duties at Burand Lab:

Planned and executed my own research projects dealing with transmission of honey bee and bumble bee viruses. Became proficient in a wide variety of lab techniques including PCR, RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, RNA/DNA extraction and purification, primer design, gene sequencing, cell culture, virology techniques, expression vector systems, and many more.
