Burand Lab Work Values

Daily Duties at Burand Lab:

Manage an academic research lab directly under principal investigator. Responsible for hiring and training new staff and students. Aware of each students research projects and have weekly meetings to get updates about their progress to report to the PI. Responsible for ordering and maintaining all chemicals, reagents, and supplies. Serve as lab safety liason. Main communication between lab and professor.

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social.
