Responsible for overseeing system and software development projects for this biotechnology company. Managed a range of projects ensuring that requirements were met and issues resolved across all phases of development. This involved collaborating across teams and functions within a constrained budget. Responsible for leading software development for advanced instrumentation (cell sorters and analyzers). This included designing and developing software as well as optimizing architecture to improve communications with hardware components (including lasers, motor controllers, DSPs) and laboratory equipment using .NET Framework 3.5, C# and C++. Technical liaison to address issues and streamline communications from Sony R&D and Engineering teams based in Japan and Sony Biotechnology sales, service and marketing personnel in the US.
