Daily Duties at Eddy County Detention Center:
Overall responsibility of operations, administration and security of 80 employees and 200 inmates with an Annual budget for healthcare $270,000. Directly responsible for special project coordination, Healthcare services and direct reports of the Lieutenant, Operations Specialist, Classification Specialist, Records and Food Services. Developed and managed Healthcare Program with a staff of two RN’s, including monitoring costs, maintaining budget, negotiating discounts with hospitals and physicians and healthcare payables. Research and negotiate for improved healthcare and pharmaceutical pricing and programs. Developed and implemented policy and procedure manual, including Leadership Development Program for staff.
