Daily Duties at North Little Rock Public Schools:
Responsible for the overall achievement and instructional leadership of 735 students and 75 staff members. Daily interaction with all stakeholders to ensure the building runs a maximum capacity. Made remarkable gains in Literacy and Math - particularly in the hard to reach sub pops (ED, ELL) - through school wide instructional strategies. Established functional, efficient, cross-curricular teams accountable to a School Leadership Team that emphasizes achievement at all levels. Established PLCs focused on building capacity among the staff in order to raise student achievement. Developed common, formative assessments in all core areas ensuring high levels of rigor and relevance. Managed a complex Master Schedule to ensure student’s learning and remedia-tion opportunities are maximized. Established an after school tutoring program designed to meet the needs of under achievers. Integrated technology throughout the lesson planning process. Surveyed teachers and devel-oped effective professional development to meet the needs of the teachers and students. Conducted 214 class-room walkthroughs last year alone. Established student incentive programs leading to a 60% decrease in ill dis-cipline. Extremely hands on in ACSIP process and execution. Tend to the formative and summative evaluation of all staff on campus. Increased Parental Involvement by four fold.
