Daily Duties at Western Container Corp:
My responsibilities included developing and implementing all quality improvement systems. I had direct supervision of 7 Quality Assurance Technicians. We met and/or exceeded Coca-Cola’s quality requirements, as well as our own. I played a critical role in developing the WCC-Hattiesburg quality system including; standard operating procedures for all quality testing and inspections, a document control program, a calibration program as well as a sanitation program (ASI/GMP). I taught WCC-Hattiesburg members in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and the requirements for the American Sanitation Institute (ASI). I assumed a major role in assisting WCC-Hattiesburg in obtaining their Supplier Quality Management Systems (SQMS) Certification required by Coca-Cola. I maintained direct customer communication responding to all quality issues, providing support as needed.
