Daily Duties at El Monte High School District:
• Instrumental in the execution and application of the SELPA directives. I successfully implemented Best Practices to create a successful ED (Emotional Disturbance) program in conjunction with SELPA. • Gatekeeper and provider of Educationally Related Intensive Counseling Services to 30 Students with Emotional Disturbance, Autism and Dual Diagnosis. • Provide consultation services to school staff, parents and IEP team. • Instrumental in the design and implementation of the SELPA G.O.A.L.S. Program (Gaining Opportunities for Achievement of Lifelong Skills), trained by Diana Browning Wright and designed for students who exhibit significant emotional and behavioral difficulties at school. • Conduct interviews, assessments, observations and completed related reports in a timely manner.
