Daily Duties at U.S. Marshals Service:

Assists the Administrative Officer in District financial matters. Prepares monthly reports as directed. Performs special projects such as preparing for internal and external District audits. Conducts studies of District programs in order to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the programs; analyze findings; and makes recommendations to District management. Monitors the District budget to ensure that funds are obligated and spent in a timely and effective manner. Provides guidance in resolving financial issues/problems. Oversees the District fiscal operations and provides training as necessary. Ensures that all financial reports are prepared and submitted in accordance with established timeframes. Ensures that District files are maintained in accordance with the USMS standard filing system. Effective oral and written communication displayed. Knowledge of a variety of software applications used for internal processing of financial management. Interface with all levels of USMS management, government agencies and the public.
