Daily Duties at Chevron Information Technology Company:
• Lead Concord Site team for Novell Server infrastructure migration to Windows 2000 infrastructure. • Administered and maintained Windows DHCP, DNS, SMS, File share, Print, Application and Domain Controller servers for the Concord site, 2000+ users. • Managed domain trusts, permissions, used ids, and access privileges. • Coordinated with centralized operations center as well as local customer support to perform upgrades, outages, repairs, and maintenance tasks. • Diagnosed, troubleshot, and resolved hardware, software, and other network and system problems. • Analyzed server performance records and logs to determine system health and operation. • Mentored junior analysts in system administration. • Researched new technologies by attending seminars, reading trade articles, and taking classes. • Implemented or recommended the implementation of new technologies. • Used Vantive ticketing system to schedule, track and document all Server Administrator activities.
