Daily Duties at Chevron Information Technology Company:

• Purchased, configured, and installed Compaq Server hardware into ERP Data Center racks. • Installed, configured, administered and maintained Windows Server OS to corporate specifications and Information Protection standards. • Implemented a VMware Clustered ESX infrastructure which increased utilization of existing server hardware. There was also an increase in reliability and productivity by use of clustering and cloning technology. Project timelines were shortened due to efficiency of server deployment and testing. All of this created a significant cost savings for Chevron. • Administered HPUX and Linux servers to effectively support the SAP ERP enterprise environment. • Managed Active Directory OUs and GPOs. Created user, computer and service accounts, groups. Set permissions on objects, delegated authority. Applied GPOs to groups. • Involved with coordination and participation of yearly Disaster Recovery exercise at HP's Alpharetta Georgia facilities. • Ensured that servers, processes, and documentation were in compliance with Corporate Information Protection standards, Sarbanes-Oxley standards as well as corporate guidelines and policies. • Participated in yearly compliance audits of our systems, processes, and documentation, resulting in satisfactory ratings. • Installed and configured numerous software packages on Windows, HPUX, and Linux servers as "add-on" applications to Chevron's SAP environments. • Installed, configured, and maintained Windows IIS Web Servers. Configured for SSL security. • Installed, configured and maintained Windows Connect:Direct software for the SAP Windows file transfer infrastructure. Worked with the network team to maintain firewall pinholes to external banks and partners, allowing secure inbound/outbound file transfers. • Configured, tested and maintained the SAPGUI software installation for all Chevron desktops worldwide. Worked with business acceptance users to test and validate the installation package. Worked with desktop packaging group to configure and deploy the software via SMS and web based interface. • Administered and maintained SAProuter in the HPUX environment. Coordinated with Network Security team to configure and maintain firewall pinholes to various outside business partners, and SAP. • Some scripting work with Perl, KSH, PowerShell. • Hands on working knowledge of Microsoft Clustered SQL Server and Citrix XenApp technologies as part of Chevron's JDE Enterprise One ERP environment. • Tracked and documented all work activities using Remedy ticket system. • Created and maintained complete documentation of servers, operating environments, inventory, information protection standards, build documentation, and other technical documentation related to the SAP infrastructure. • Involved with IT Lean initiative data gathering, analysis and implementation. • Emergency Response and Safety Coordinator. Floor Warden, CPR trained. Ergonomic safety coordinator.
