 Successfully served as the sole media contact and spokesperson for the congressional office, experienced in crisis communications.  Developed and managed multiple successful public relations initiatives including the implementation of a social media strategy for the Congressman resulting in a 11% increase of Facebook followers over a ten month period.  Composed and conducted research for speeches on a wide range of topics on a daily basis.  Built and maintained strong and effective relationships with local, regional and national media outlets.  Substantially increased awareness on issues of legislation involving natural resources through the creation of a regular newsletter dedicated to professionals.
