Responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance information, scheduling appointments and refilling prescriptions. • Trained new staff on office procedures, documenting patient information and electronic medical records. • Assisted the doctor with patient examination and simple medical procedures. • Maintained patient confidentiality, HIPPA, universal precautions and proper disposal of sharps. • Provided the highest levels of patient care, services and support. • Provided excellent customer service to all patients and other medical personals. • Monitored patient medical records, insurance verification and prior authorizations. • Scheduled medical tests and other procedures. • Provided instructions to patients as directed by the doctor. • Attended to phone calls and messages and provided feedback and answers. • Maintained the filing system and kept it updated.
