• Developed a bid proposal and secured a contract with the client, USAID/ACDI –VOCA, for the task of designing and supervising five (5) warehouse projects in various regions of the country, Ethiopia. • Responsible for Landscape design and supervision in Gullele botanic garden projects in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. • Inspecting the work of subcontractors and other third parties on 40/60 condominium housing projects • Ensuring that all engineering activities are correctly costed and the complete design is delivered to the agreed budget • Responsible for Maintenance and rehabilitation of existing university building projects • Responsible for working closely with the end client on various construction and civil engineering programs, creating detailed plans, monitoring/updating progress, critical path analysis, etc. • Worked with clients in the tendering process to select suitable contractors for different projects • Attending meetings and competently communicate with Clients, Contractors and major asset owners and stakeholders. • Prepared engineering documents, including complete technical specifications and bill of quantities and documented the procedures and ensured that all regulations and requirements are met. • Prepared feasibility studies, cost estimates, and bidding documents. • Provided substantial technical support in gathering, analysis and interpretation of a variety of engineering data. • Performed computations to estimate optimal requirements of construction materials for a variety of building designs and construction projects. • Prepared bidding and contract documents and following up construction tenders for different construction projects. • Participated in the contract administration of the projects at hand and interacted and worked in collaboration with the firm’s business partners. • Maintained a very effective working relationship with co-workers and senior management. • Participated and provided significant project coordination input in a variety of projects. • Coordinated with CAD operators provided necessary leadership and designed the necessary sketches for the presentation to the client and ensured that drawings were in compliance to the client requirement and prepared the necessary contract drawings. • Handle the tasks of assisting surveyors during site visit in the areas of Preliminary surveying and soil investigation. • Perform responsibilities of updating all project plan and specifications before the project • Responsible for estimating project cost and resource requirement to the project manager. • Handle all other essential job requirements under the supervision of the project manager and senior engineer.
