Daily Duties at Blank Rome, Llp:

• Provided support to Senior Partner and Senior Associate with expertise in processing and prosecuting mechanical patent applications at the USPTO; ensured prompt and timely filing of various actions such as Amendments/Responses, IDS’, Extensions of Time, Appeal Briefs, new patent applications, issue fees, etc. through e-filing with the USPTO EBC (Electronic Business Center) • Prioritized and advised attorneys of upcoming cases requiring actions in both domestic and international cases; prioritized and advised attorneys of instructions received from clients; prepared detailed report letters of various reports to select clients with detailed billings invoices; maintained billing files for select clients • Assisted and prepared formal documents of cases involved in litigation for filing with the courts, opposing counsel and all legal parties involved via Certificate of Service • Maintained and updated client contacts; followed-up with necessary actions/recommendations to the client, the USPTO, the TTAB, the courts, and foreign Patent Offices, etc. • Conducted research and procured information relative to cases to expedite favorable allowance of cases by the USPTO • Processed intake of new cases, engagement letters and conflict reports; scheduled and maintained attorneys’ calendar, contacts, meeting and travel arrangements; processed and maintained attorneys’ expense reports relative to costs billed or unbilled to clients • Performed daily administrative management of workflow and maintenance of required records as well as assisted or trained other personnel within the IP Department • Maintained and reconciled attorneys’ daily dockets
