Daily Duties at The Fidelity Bank:
I was the Chief Credit Risk Officer as the bank and I managed a group of 2 people. I was responsible for setting and equally dividing out the monthly credit review which encompassed the appropriate loan type concentration for each sub-category of loan type. We reviewed between 90 and 120 loans each month, providing detailed credit reviews and critiques for each loan and larger relationship that each loan was part of. We reviewed the credit soundness of the loan/relationship as well as the current condition of the collateral as well as all other documentation related to the loan. We each performed an equal number of individual loan reviews with myself taking the larger more complex relationships. I also was responsible for financially vetting all third party vendors both new and existing every quarter.
What they like about The Fidelity Bank:
A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
