Served as Director, Maryland Advanced Simulation, Training, Research and Innovation (MASTRI) Center, at the University of Maryland Medical System, Department of General Surgery. Coordinated the activity of surgical training and research for the Department of Surgery and for the School of Medicine. Instituted curricula for regional hospitals training programs and for healthcare providers in the Maryland area. Collaborated with staff for increased patient safety through both regulation and practice for the medical center. In addition, served as Program Administrator for the Innovations in the Surgical Environment research program.
