Daily Duties at Pittsburgh Glass Works:
• Lead corporate Sales and Operations Planning process • Identify and mitigate capacity imbalances by most cost-effective means • Lead Supply Chain strategy • Optimize corporate and plant supply chain costs, reporting, and processes • Manage parts moves and outsourcing • Develop capacity models for each value stream • Track and account for downstream losses, capacity improvements, process development, samples, and maintenance downtime • Balance demand and capacity on 23 lines across 8 manufacturing plants 4 satellite operations and 2 joint ventures in US, Canada, Mexico, Poland, and China • Develop annual budget line loadings • Set plant inventory budgets for finished goods, raw materials, raw glass, and WIP • Review and manage inventories with with plants and ensure budget compliance • Track premium freight and develop strategies to minimize • Lead group of five corporate supply chain professionals, along with eight plant supply chain managers and their staffs
