• Reported to Sr. Quality Manager; responsible for all quality related issues including quality assurance, quality control and supplier quality. • Developed the data management system for data collection of the measurement equipment and tool • Achieved the ISO/TS16949 Letter of Conformance • Managed the China and Korea based contract manufacturers to ensure new products always fulfilled the agreed specification as well as met and exceeded customer expectation at optimal cost of quality • Coordinated field data with the supplier and helped implement a return process that gave suppliers visibility into field failures resulting in a very significant warranty reduction savings of over $2 million in 2006 • Regularly held the Value Analysis Workshop at the supplier site; worked with the supplier team on the cost reduction projects and achieved $100K of savings in a year; in return for 1% price reduction of the product • Successfully implemented the on-going Reliability Test (ORT) program at suppliers and Mexico factory • Performed leadership to promote Lean Six Sigma to the Asian suppliers for process improvements; coached and mentored Green Belts and trained Lean Sigma tools and methodologies to the Asian suppliers • Served as SQM to Tier I suppliers of door module systems, roof racks, roof moldings, side impact brackets, outside mirrors, inside mirrors, all plastic parts inside the vehicle, windshield, sunroof headliner, computer brains, PCB Mirrors, cockpit, and other bumper fascia assemblies • Experience with Metal Die Casting, Plastic and MIMS injection molding, Glass Molding, and Printed Circuit Boards • Monitored conformance with quality standards and procedures throughout the factory and initiate all necessary actions to prevent nonconformities of products, processes and QMS • Implemented organization structure within the department • Ensured proper qualification process for new base materials, equipment, processes and tools • Experience with 8Ds, TS16949, Design FMEA’s, APQP, Gage R&R, PPAP, ISO 9000;14001 • Worked with suppliers to improve process controls to overcome quality issues ensuring quality targets were met for suppliers and company • Help and train associates in proper assembly techniques during pilot builds • Submitted engineering change requests to design team in North America, Korea and China • Exterior color harmony team with Suppliers • Coordinator of Santa Fe Pilot Team for the exterior trim group • Reported countermeasures to all levels of management during weekly customer audit meetings
