Daily Duties at Porter & Chester Institute:
• Manage the company’s Stratford Campus LAN. • Take ownership of network and desktop related problems through resolution, delegate to staff as necessary. • Provide excellent documentation for network maps and Computer Inventory. • Manage the day to day functionality and maintenance of the campus infrastructure, and directs more junior innovators when necessary. • Demonstrate comprehensive problem and troubleshooting skills. • Teach early morning Computer Networking Technology class including Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, MS Server 2008, MS Office 2010, A+ and Network + Certification courses. • Show ability to multi-task and prioritize work. • Develop and work within standard processes. • Administrator for Server 2008 and Server 2012 Active Directory Domains. • Implements network security at the campus level as established by corporate IT Director. • Install update and manage Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 10 clients. • Support OS Virtualization. • Manage multiple Wireless Networks and ten Subnets via Sonic wall and Gigabit Ethernet Switches. • Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting institute infrastructure. • Train and coach others within the institute.
