Daily Duties at Dorman Products:

• Responsible for the strategic sourcing, tactical replenishment buying, inventory management and customer fill rates for direct product categories • Developed a Supplier Relationship Management system and enhanced quarterly supplier business reviews to leverage strategic initiatives with key suppliers • Implemented a supplier scorecard system to measure development speed, product quality, production lead times and on-time delivery allowing enhanced supplier selection decisions and focused corrective action initiatives • Developed and implemented a standardized supplier contract template for all vendor agreements which led to a significant increase in supplier exclusivity, pricing controls, rebates, stocking programs, cost recoveries, indemnification, etc • Developed a Monthly Measurements system to drive improved departmental performance and published for executive review • Exceeded the Purchase Price Variance goal by 2x the last two consecutive years by leveraging key supplier negotiations on favorable currency and commodity market trends • Developed a process to reduce safety stocks by $2.2M without incurring any service impact to the customer • Developed a process to identify opportunities and accurately evaluate Make vs. Buy decisions which led to $2M+ in year-over-year cost reductions • Ensured a successful merge of the Materials and Purchasing departments into a single Supply Chain department
