Daily Duties at International Paper Company:
Served as a team leader and EHS peer auditor in various H&S audits and site reviews. Conduct site specific H&S audits and investigations at paper mills, container plants, and the global corporate office. Conducted Health & Safety training including KES trainings, on all levels (VP, Directors, and Management) assisted with Occupational Health global projects which included program assessment of Blood borne Pathogen /Exposure control plans. Participate in monthly mill call meetings, served on various global LIFE teams (Drivers Safety, Contractor Safety, and Electrical Safety, Machine Safeguarding, PIT, Waste Water treatment, Fire, Chemical Safety). Track safety metrics and identify trends, Responsible for monthly audit of the OSHA 300 log and resolution of errors with claims administrators. Workers compensation coordinator, work with corporate claims administrator to manage claims and return to work, develop, train, and maintain effective emergency response team to ensure appropriate measures are taken in the event of an emergency. Ensure that building and equipment safety inspections are conducted and documented, Schedule associate annual training and retraining; maintain all training records and certifications. Currently serve as a global LIFE communication team member, as well the LIFE lead for the legal division. Participates on the Memphis LIFE team (Memphis location), assist in the planning for the Memphis base LIFE initiatives. Create and managing health and safety programs and policies. Proposed and successfully coordinated the 1st Walk for Healthy Life empowering employees to live a healthy lifestyle, Companywide Ergonomics. Knowledge of OSHA, DEQ, EPA, NIOSH, ANSI and NFPA regulations.
